趙雲廟について
Zhao Yun Temple is a memorial complex in the old town of Zhengding, just north of Shijiazhuang, dedicated to one of the most beloved generals of the Three Kingdoms period. Zhao Yun, courtesy name Zilong, was a native of Changshan Zhengding, the historical name of this county, and his reputation for courage, loyalty, and personal integrity has made him a folk hero across the Chinese-speaking world for nearly two thousand years. For readers of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms and fans of its many film and television adaptations, the temple is a meaningful stop on any Shijiazhuang itinerary.
The current temple was rebuilt in the nineteen nineties on the site of an earlier Qing-dynasty memorial and reopened as a cultural and tourist site. The complex follows the layout of a traditional Chinese temple, with a sequence of courtyards and halls stretching along a central axis. The main halls, named for the bonds of brotherhood, the famous Five Tiger Generals of Shu Han, the relationship between minister and sovereign, and the posthumous title of Marquis Shunping, present the life, campaigns, and personality of Zhao Yun through statues, painted reliefs, and historical displays.
Inside, visitors encounter scenes from the most celebrated episodes of Zhao Yun's career, including the famous rescue of the infant heir to the Shu Han kingdom at the battle of Changban, in which he was said to have fought through enemy lines carrying the child in his arms. The displays place his story in the wider context of the chaotic transition between the Han dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period, when regional warlords competed for supremacy across China. The tone is reverent rather than strictly historical, reflecting the long folk tradition that surrounds the general's memory.
A visit typically takes about an hour, and the compact scale makes it well suited to families and to visitors combining several sights in Zhengding. The temple is quieter than the larger Buddhist sites nearby, and its smaller crowds give it a more contemplative atmosphere. Spring and autumn are the most comfortable seasons for the walk between the temple and the nearby pagodas.
Zhao Yun Temple sits within easy walking distance of Longxing Temple, the city wall, and the Rongguo Mansion film set, so it pairs naturally into a full day's exploration of Zhengding. For travelers interested in Chinese history, literature, and the long afterlife of the Three Kingdoms story, it offers a personal and atmospheric way to connect with one of the era's most enduringly popular figures.
