칠성 경구 소개

Seven-Star Park, set on the eastern bank of the Li River in central Guilin, is the largest urban park in the city and one of the most convenient places to experience a concentrated version of the karst landscape that defines the broader region. Often described as a microcosm of Guilin's scenery, the park is known locally for its combination of clear hills, quiet water, striking caves, and unusual rock formations, and it holds two of the traditional "eight views" of old Guilin, which gives it a historical weight that goes beyond its function as a city park.

The park's two best-known features are Seven-Star Cave, a large limestone cavern that the Ming-dynasty travel writer Xu Xiake is recorded as having explored on two separate occasions, and Camel Hill, whose distinctive karst silhouette, resembling a resting camel, has made it something of a second emblem for the city alongside Elephant Trunk Hill. Elsewhere in the park, the arched Flower Bridge crosses a branch of the Li River known as the Small East River, and its reflection in the water beneath has long been a favorite subject for poets and painters, giving the area a more literary, reflective atmosphere than some of Guilin's more crowded sights. The grounds also include a small zoo, gardens, and pavilions scattered among the peaks and along the riverbank, allowing for a varied half-day of walking.

For foreign visitors, Seven-Star Park is one of the easiest and most rewarding stops in central Guilin, since it is within walking distance of the downtown hotels and the riverside district, and it offers a sampler of the region's landscape and cave geology without the travel time required to reach the more distant sights. A visit can range from a couple of hours to the better part of a day depending on how much of the cave and grounds you explore. The park is particularly suited to travelers arriving in Guilin with limited time, or those who want a relaxed green space in which to decompress between the more intensive Li River and countryside excursions. It pairs naturally with the adjacent Little East River and with the riverside walk toward Elephant Trunk Hill, making it an anchor of any walking itinerary through central Guilin.
