三河古鎮

Sanhe Ancient Town is a historic water town located outside central Hefei, preserving a network of canals, stone bridges, and old merchant streets at the confluence of three waterways whose meeting gives the town its name, meaning "Three Rivers." Designated as a top-tier scenic area, it offers visitors one of the more accessible glimpses of traditional Anhui water-town life within reach of the provincial capital, with a character shaped by centuries of river trade rather than the modern urban growth that defines Hefei today.

Walking through the old streets, visitors pass between rows of whitewashed, grey-tiled buildings in the regional Huizhou style, once home to merchants who traded rice, tea, and cloth along the connecting waterways.
