Signage is in Chinese with limited English captions, so visitors without reading knowledge of Chinese will get more out of the visit with a translation app. The museum is reached by taxi or rideshare from central Urumqi and pairs well with other low-intensity stops in the same district for a half-day excursion focused on family leisure rather than heritage.
