E-DA World

E-DA World is a large integrated resort and leisure development on the hillside above Kaohsiung, combining hotels, shopping, amusement, residential, and educational facilities within a single planned precinct. Designed as a self-contained destination rather than a single attraction, it has become one of southern Taiwan's most comprehensive leisure complexes, drawing visitors from across the region for weekends, holidays, and special events. For international travellers, it represents one of the most concentrated expressions of modern Taiwanese leisure culture.

The development combines several distinct components. The accommodation side includes both the five-star E-DA Crown Royal Hotel and the more moderately priced E-DA Sky Hotel, allowing the complex to serve different market segments. The retail and entertainment component is anchored by the E-DA Place shopping mall, which combines brand-name retail with restaurants and leisure facilities. The amusement component, E-DA Theme Park, is built around a Greek-inspired architectural concept and offers a full day of rides and attractions. The precinct includes the E-DA International School, serving primary and secondary students, as well as I-Shou University, a private university that is part of the same broader foundation. For international visitors, E-DA World is best understood as a destination resort rather than a single attraction. Travellers with children, or those seeking a focused weekend of shopping, dining, and entertainment, may choose to stay overnight within the complex and use it as a base. Allow one or two full days to experience the full range of facilities, particularly if visiting the theme park. The complex is located outside central Kaohsiung and is best reached by car, shuttle bus, or the dedicated E-DA transport services, which run regularly from the city centre and the high-speed rail station.
