Xianheng Tavern
Đợt 1Thành lập 1894
Thành lập
Xianheng Tavern was opened in 1894 by Zhou Zhongxiang, an uncle of writer Lu Xun, at Duchangfang Crossing in old Shaoxing. Its name comes from a phrase in the Book of Changes meaning 'all things prosper.'
Điều làm nên danh tiếng
In 1918 Lu Xun vividly portrayed the tavern's bent-elbow counter and warmed-wine scenes in 'Kong Yiji,' returning to it in other stories, which turned this modest tavern into a landmark of modern Chinese literature.
Nghề thủ công đặc trưng
The house pairs Shaoxing yellow wine with fennel-spiced broad beans, keeping the old riverside-tavern atmosphere of counter, wine jars and warmed wine that Lu Xun's readers picture.
Vị thế văn hóa
Recognized as a 'China Time-Honored Brand' in 1993 and again in 2006, it now operates as a Lu Xun-themed time-honored establishment.
