Cangyan Mountain Scenic Area is one of the most celebrated mountain landscapes in the Shijiazhuang region, set deep in the Taihang range about seventy kilometers south of the city in Jingxing County. With its dramatic gorges, sheer cliffs, and a remarkable concentration of old Buddhist temples and hermitages, it has long been counted among the most famous scenic spots of North China.
