Giới thiệu về Chèo thuyền vượt thác Hồng Khẩu
Hongkou Rafting is a summer whitewater rafting destination on the Baisha River in the Hongkou-Longxi Nature Reserve, in the mountains northwest of Dujiangyan city. Set within a protected area of dense forest, narrow gorges, and cold mountain streams, it is one of the most popular warm-weather escapes in the Dujiangyan region and a useful change of pace for travelers who have spent several days at the heritage sites and the panda bases. For visitors coming in the height of summer, when the Chengdu plain becomes hot and humid, it is one of the most refreshing day trips the region offers.
The rafting route follows the Baisha River, a tributary of the Min River, fed by snowmelt, mountain streams, and springs from the higher peaks of the Guangguangshan range. The water is cold, clear, and mineral-rich, with summer temperatures around twenty-five degrees Celsius, and the river meets the national Class I standard for surface water quality, the highest category in the Chinese system. The route itself is built around a sequence of rapids and quieter pools, with enough movement to be exciting without requiring prior experience, and most trips are guided by experienced boatmen who handle the steering while passengers ride along.
The reserve sits at an elevation of roughly one thousand meters, with dense original forest cover and air that is noticeably cooler and cleaner than the lowland cities. The area is marketed locally as a natural oxygen bar, and the combination of cold water, forest shade, and rapid-flowing river makes it a particularly strong destination on the hottest summer afternoons. The broader reserve also offers hiking, swimming holes, and small riverside restaurants, and many visitors spend a full day in the area rather than just the few hours of the rafting trip itself.
Hongkou is a seasonal destination, at its best in the summer months from June through August, when the water level and the weather are both right. It sits about seventy kilometers from Chengdu and roughly eighteen kilometers from Dujiangyan city, which makes it reachable as a day trip from either base, and it is often combined with other mountain attractions in the northern part of the Dujiangyan region. For most foreign travelers it is a secondary stop, but a rewarding one for anyone visiting in the heat of summer.
