Song Street is a reconstructed historic street at the foot of King Peak within the Mount Wuyi UNESCO World Heritage Site in Fujian province, lying next to the ancient Wuyi Palace at the downstream end of the Nine-Bend Stream. Laid out in the style of a Song dynasty market street, it is the cultural and commercial heart of the Wuyi scenic area, a place where the architectural, intellectual, and tea traditions of Mount Wuyi are gathered into a compact and pleasant walk.

The street runs for roughly three hundred metres between a stone memorial arch at one end and an old gatehouse at the other, with pavilions, halls, shops, and teahouses built in the restrained, elegant style of Song dynasty southern Chinese architecture. Along the way are the Wuyi Palace, the Jade Emperor Pavilion, the Pengzu Mountain Lodge, a traditional coin shop, and a series of tea houses and wine shops that reflect the commerce and leisure of an old Wuyi town. The architecture deliberately echoes the Song era because of Mount Wuyi's deep association with that period, when Zhu Xi, the great Neo-Confucian philosopher, made the mountain his home and built his academy here.

At the head of the street stands the Zhu Xi Memorial Hall, dedicated to the Song philosopher whose teaching at Wuyi reshaped Chinese intellectual life for centuries. Nearby are further halls, including a Three Purities Daoist temple, a small museum of Wuyi culture, and pavilions offering views over the river and the surrounding peaks. The atmosphere combines the lively feel of an old market street with the contemplative tone of a scholarly landscape, and teahouses along the lane offer the chance to taste Wuyi rock tea in a setting that matches its cultural roots.

Song Street is the natural first stop for visitors entering the Wuyi Palace end of the scenic area, and it works equally well as an evening stroll, a tea-tasting stop, or an introduction to the cultural world of Mount Wuyi before heading up into the peaks. Pair it with the adjacent Wuyi Palace and the lower bends of the Nine-Bend Stream for a relaxed half-day focused on the history and tea culture of the Wuyi range, rather than its more strenuous hikes.
