Курорт Сяомэйша

Xiaomeisha Resort is the smaller, more leisure-oriented of Shenzhen's two main seaside destinations, sitting on the South China Sea coast a few kilometres east of Dameisha in the Yantian district. Often promoted as the "Oriental Hawaii", it has long been positioned as a gentler, more resort-style alternative to the busier municipal beach next door.

The resort covers roughly 205,000 square metres of land with a further 1.34 square kilometres of leased sea area, forming a curved bay set against a backdrop of forested mountains. The underlying geology is part of what local tourism materials describe as a "Jurassic coast" — a stretch of ancient shoreline geology that gives the bay its distinctive rock formations and headland views. The beach itself is shorter and narrower than Dameisha but benefits from the protection of the surrounding headlands.

The resort is built around a mix of beachfront leisure, family water activities, and overnight accommodation, with the operator positioning it as a year-round, all-day destination for both day-trippers and longer-stay guests. Beach equipment, water-sports rentals, children's play zones, and food and beverage outlets line the inland side of the sand, while a handful of hotels and serviced-apartment buildings occupy the back of the site.

A major recent renovation has reshaped the resort into a more contemporary coastal-leisure product, with the older 1990s facilities progressively replaced by new visitor infrastructure, food and beverage outlets, and themed zones aimed at families and younger couples. The renovated Xiaomeisha Sea World sits adjacent to the resort, making the two a natural combined visit.

Xiaomeisha is reachable by bus from central Shenzhen and by taxi from the Yantian port area. For international travellers seeking a quieter beach than Dameisha, or a base for an overnight stay on the South China Sea coast, Xiaomeisha is the obvious east-Shenzhen choice.
