Kuaijishan

Batch 1
Est. 1743
Founding

Kuaijishan's lineage goes back to the 'Yunji' brewery founded in 1743 in Dongpu, Shaoxing, which brewed yellow wine with water from Jianhu Lake — one of the oldest threads in Shaoxing's wine tradition.

What made it famous

In 1915 the brand won Shaoxing yellow wine its first international gold medal at the Panama-Pacific Exposition, and it remains one of the city's flagship wine names at home and abroad.

Signature craft

Its wine follows the traditional winter-brewing cycle — fermenting glutinous rice, wheat starter and Jianhu water for more than eighty days from early winter — as a bearer of the national-level Shaoxing yellow-wine brewing heritage.

Cultural standing

Designated a first-batch 'China Time-Honored Brand' by the Ministry of Commerce in 2006.
