시안 박물원 소개

Xi'an Museum occupies the grounds of Jianfu Temple in the southern part of the old city, combining a modern museum building with a historic temple complex and its own Tang dynasty pagoda, the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. The museum's core exhibition, generally themed around Xi'an's development as an ancient capital, traces the city's history from the Zhou dynasty through the imperial era to more recent centuries, offering a more city-focused counterpart to the broader regional scope of the Shaanxi History Museum elsewhere in town.

Inside, visitors can see scale models depicting the layout of the ancient city at different points in its history, illustrating how the walls, palaces, and street grid changed as Xi'an, known in earlier eras as Chang'an, grew and shrank across dynasties. Archaeological finds, ceramics, and everyday artifacts round out the picture, giving a sense of daily life alongside the more monumental history covered elsewhere in the city's museums. Just outside the main exhibition hall, the temple grounds and Small Wild Goose Pagoda offer a quieter, more contemplative contrast, with the pagoda's elegant, slightly weathered brick tiers rising above gardens that are pleasant to walk through regardless of the museum visit itself.

Because it draws fewer visitors than some of Xi'an's headline attractions, Xi'an Museum tends to offer a more relaxed pace, making it a good option for travelers wanting a break from busier sites without sacrificing historical substance. A visit covering both the museum halls and the temple grounds typically takes a couple of hours, with the gardens around the pagoda especially pleasant in the cooler parts of the day.

Xi'an Museum sits a little apart from both the old city center and the Qujiang district further south, so it is worth checking its location relative to other planned stops when building a Xi'an itinerary. For visitors particularly interested in urban history and the physical evolution of the ancient capital, or simply looking for a calmer alternative to the more crowded sights nearby, Xi'an Museum and its accompanying pagoda and gardens are a worthwhile, lower-key addition to a longer stay in the city.

The Xi'an Museum is built around the Tang-era Small Wild Goose Pagoda, the pagoda of Jianfu Temple, combining a museum, an ancient pagoda, and gardens. Erected in the Tang Jinglong era, the graceful pagoda, together with the old temple bell, forms the Morning Bell at Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the Eight Views of Guanzhong. Its galleries, drawn mainly from objects unearthed around Xi'an, trace the city's story from its founding to its role as capital of thirteen dynasties.

관람 안내: Within the grounds the old pagoda and gardens set each other off, and climbing the Small Wild Goose Pagoda opens a view over the southern city, while the halls display figurines, Buddhist statuary, and everyday wares that recount the rise and fall of Chang'an. Strolling this quiet old temple tucked into the busy city is a fine way to absorb Xi'an's urban memory.
