수당낙양성 구주지

The Sui-Tang Luoyang Jiuzhou Pool is a heritage park built around the excavated remains of an imperial garden that once formed part of the palace complex during the Sui and Tang dynasties. Covering a substantial area, the site preserves multiple distinct sections of the original palace grounds, including the northwestern residential quarters of the inner palace, part of a garden known historically as Taoguang Garden, and the northern portion of the Jiuzhou Pool royal garden itself, together comprising a dozen or so individually protected archaeological zones.

The park's design combines protective, scientific presentation of the underlying ruins with restored water features and garden landscaping intended to evoke the appearance of the original imperial garden, giving visitors a sense of what this part of the Sui-Tang palace looked like at its height. Walking paths wind around the reconstructed pools and garden areas, allowing visitors to appreciate both the layout of the historic royal garden and the archaeological work that has gone into preserving and presenting the site. The overall aim is to let visitors experience the atmosphere of imperial garden life during one of China's most celebrated dynastic periods.

A visit typically takes one to two hours, with easy, mostly level walking paths around the water features and garden areas, making it accessible for most visitors. The park tends to be a quieter, more contemplative stop compared to some of Luoyang's larger, more crowded heritage sites.

As part of the broader Sui-Tang Luoyang City heritage zone, the Jiuzhou Pool site pairs naturally with the nearby Yingtian Gate and Mingtang-Tiantang areas, and it is often visited as one stop among several during a day focused on the city's imperial past.
