Taotaoju Teahouse

Founded in 1880, Taotaoju is one of Guangzhou's oldest teahouses, rooted in the old Xiguan quarter.

It became famous for yum cha — the Cantonese ritual of a pot of tea and a couple of dim sum dishes — and stands as an emblem of Guangzhou's leisurely teahouse life.

The house is known for freshly steamed Cantonese dim sum and carefully brewed tea, from shrimp dumplings to mooncakes and steamed savories.

A recognized 'China Time-honored Brand', it carries on a century of teahouse tradition and remains a touchstone of Guangzhou's morning-tea culture.
