Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Shidao, Rongcheng, Taixiang Group grew up on the rich catches of the Rongcheng coast to become one of Jiaodong Peninsula's representative marine-food enterprises, bringing the traditional fisherman's mackerel-dumpling craft into modern food production.

Ce qui a fait sa renommée

Taixiang is best known for its mackerel dumplings, championing the hand-made dumpling craft of the Jiaodong Peninsula; the technique was listed as Shandong provincial intangible heritage in 2013, carrying the fisherman's taste to a wider market and earning recognition as an emblem of Jiaodong seafood dumplings.

Savoir-faire emblématique

Its mackerel dumplings use fresh Spanish mackerel, boned and minced then beaten by hand to a springy paste, lifted with chive or scallion water and wrapped in vigorously hand-rolled skins, prized for thin wrappers, generous filling and a burst of juice, embodying the fisherman's wisdom of putting fish in the filling and keeping the flavour true.

Statut culturel

Taixiang is a regional marine-food brand; its mackerel-dumpling craft is Shandong provincial intangible heritage (it is not a MOFCOM-recognised Chinese time-honoured brand, hence marked conditional).
