À propos de Station de villégiature de Sangù
Sangu Resort is the main tourist gateway and base for visiting Wuyishan in Fujian province, lying at the foot of the Wuyi peaks and serving as the primary lodging, dining, and transport hub for travelers exploring the Mount Wuyi UNESCO World Heritage Site. Rather than a single attraction, it is the resort zone where most visitors to Wuyishan stay and where many of the practical amenities of a trip are concentrated, and it plays the same role for the scenic area that a gateway town plays for a national park.
The resort zone stretches across a pleasant valley of streams, tea fields, and low hills, with the red danxia cliffs of the Wuyi range rising dramatically to the south. The setting itself is part of the appeal, and even time spent outside the official scenic area carries a sense of being in a special landscape, with the peaks visible from many hotel windows, teahouses, and roadside gardens. Tea culture is everywhere here, with Wuyi rock tea shops, tasting rooms, and tea-themed restaurants lining the main streets.
A network of walking and cycling paths threads through the resort area, allowing visitors to wander along the streams, through tea gardens, and up to the edges of the scenic area without entering the ticketed zones. These paths are particularly lovely in the early morning, when mist hangs over the tea fields and the cliffs glow with the rising sun, and they offer a relaxed way to experience the landscape for those who want a slower day or a break from the busier sights. Local restaurants in the resort zone serve the food of southern Fujian, with river fish, mountain vegetables, and tea-flavored dishes among the regional specialties.
Because of its central location, Sangu Resort is the natural base for a Wuyishan visit, within easy reach of the Nine-Bend Stream raft docks, Tianyou Peak, the da hong pao scenic area, Wuyi Palace, and the Impression Da Hong Pao evening show. Travelers typically use it as a hub from which to make day trips into the scenic area, returning each evening to its relaxed, tea-scented atmosphere. For foreign visitors, it is the most convenient and enjoyable place to stay while exploring the Wuyi range.
