The Hot Spring Spa Resort is a thermal-spring bathing and water park complex in the Tianshui area, taking advantage of the natural geothermal water that surfaces along the fracture zones at the edge of the Qinling Mountains. Bring a swimsuit and towel if the venue does not provide them, and be prepared to follow Chinese water-park etiquette regarding showering before entering pools. Pair the visit with a quieter Tianshui-area temple or the Jieting hot-spring town inside the Maijishan Scenic Area for a fuller sense of how thermal springs have shaped leisure in southern Gansu.
