Unlike the theme park itself, Disney Town is designed as an open, street-level district rather than a ticketed attraction, giving visitors a more relaxed, international-style area to wander through, shop, and eat, whether or not they're spending that day inside the park.

The district is built around a series of themed streets and plazas lined with shops ranging from large flagship Disney stores to international dining options and specialty retail, creating an atmosphere closer to an upscale outdoor shopping promenade than a typical theme park entrance area.
