Like other parks in the Qiangu Qing ("Romantic Show") series that have opened in major Chinese tourist destinations, the Guilin version combines a signature indoor stage spectacle with a walkable park of themed streets, smaller attractions, and secondary performances, all built around an idealized retelling of regional history and folklore.

The headline show, staged in a large purpose-built theater, uses advanced lighting, sound, and stage machinery to present a dramatized journey through the landscape, ethnic cultures, and romantic legends of the Guangxi region. The production moves across multiple stage levels and uses water, light, and aerial effects to evoke the karst peaks and river scenery that define the area, reframing the local material as family-friendly entertainment. Outside the main theater, the park offers themed zones with smaller shows, interactive exhibits, a children's area, and food streets, making the site as much a leisure park as a performance venue. The design is weather-aware, with substantial indoor, air-conditioned space, which makes the park a practical option on hot or rainy days.

For foreign visitors, Guilin Romantic Show is best understood as popular entertainment rather than a window into authentic local culture, and travelers seeking a more traditional performance experience may prefer the Impression Liu Sanjie show on the Li River. But for families with children, mixed-interest groups, or travelers looking for an easy, weather-resistant evening activity, the park fills a useful niche in the Yangshuo area. A visit typically occupies an evening centered on the main show, with time beforehand to explore the park's streets and smaller attractions. The park is easiest to reach by taxi or organized transport from Yangshuo town, and travelers should check the daily schedule in advance, since performance times and secondary shows shift seasonally.
