Yichangning Pastry was founded by the elder Wu Hong'en in 1869 in the late Qing dynasty, the only truly century-old traditional pastry house in Dalian; in 2010 the old signboard was hung again in the old town of Jinzhou.

Yichangning is famed across southern Liaoning for traditional Chinese pastries such as the Eight Treasures, mooncakes and sachima, the most representative century-old name in Dalian's pastry culture.
