Jade Dragon Snow Mountain

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is one of Lijiang's most iconic natural landmarks and a place of deep spiritual significance to the local Naxi people, who regard it as a sacred mountain. The range consists of thirteen peaks that rise and fall along a ridge said to resemble a silver dragon in flight, which is how the mountain earned its name. Its glaciated summit, visible from much of Lijiang on clear days, has made it a defining symbol of the region for centuries.

The scenic area offers several ways to experience the mountain, with cable cars carrying visitors up to different sections rather than requiring technical mountaineering.
