Jimo Ancient City stands in the Jimo district of Qingdao, a reconstructed old town built on the site of the historic county seat. Jimo is a county of long standing, and the rebuilt town recreates the walls, lanes and layout of buildings such as the magistrate's office and Confucian temple of a traditional county seat, gathering the history, culture and folk life of the Jimo area into a window onto Jiaodong's local culture.

Visiting: Visitors can stroll the town's lanes, admire its traditional architecture and gate towers, learn about Jimo's history and local culture, and, at the folk performances, traditional markets and festivals held from time to time, take in the everyday atmosphere and cultural mood of an old Jiaodong town.
