The Zhuhai Space Center is an aerospace exhibition and education center located within the Zhuhai International Air Show Center complex, developed as a showcase for China's aerospace achievements and as a permanent complement to the biennial China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition that shares the site. Opened in the early 2020s as a flagship municipal project, the center was built to give visitors — particularly younger visitors and school groups from across the greater Bay Area — a structured, immersive introduction to the country's space program, its launch vehicles, spacecraft, and satellite systems.

Inside, the exhibition halls combine full-scale and reduced-scale replicas of launch vehicles, space station modules, planetary rovers, and satellites with interactive displays, simulators, and multimedia presentations that walk visitors through the history and engineering of Chinese spaceflight. The presentation leans heavily on large-scale physical objects — the towering rocket models are the most photographed single exhibits — supplemented by hands-on stations where visitors can try docking simulators, observe scaled launch demonstrations, and follow interpretive displays tracing individual missions from launch to recovery. The overall effect is closer to a modern science museum than to a static display hall, and the layout is designed to accommodate both self-guided browsing and organized educational visits.

For foreign visitors, the Zhuhai Space Center offers an accessible window onto an aspect of contemporary China — its civil and scientific space program — that is otherwise difficult to engage with as a traveler, and the exhibits reward visitors with a general interest in aerospace, engineering, or science communication regardless of prior familiarity with the specific missions shown. A visit typically fills a half-day, and the center is particularly well suited to families with school-age children, who tend to respond well to the interactive exhibits. Its location within the air show center makes it easy to combine with other Zhuhai sights on the same trip, and it is best treated as a standalone, weather-proof activity rather than as part of a beach or island itinerary.
