Giới thiệu về Khu danh lam thắng cảnh Tam Khổng Khúc Phụ

The Three Confucian Sites of Qufu — the Temple of Confucius, the Kong Family Mansion, and the Cemetery of Confucius, known together in Chinese as San Kong — form the spiritual and architectural heart of this small city in southwestern Shandong. Inscribed together as a UNESCO World Heritage property in 1994, they are recognized not only for their individual grandeur but for the way the three compose a single cultural landscape: temple, residence, and graveyard of one family whose influence on Chinese civilization is impossible to overstate. Qufu is the birthplace of Confucius (551–479 BCE), the teacher who founded Confucianism and instructed some three thousand disciples here, and Chinese tradition ranks the town as one of the three Holy Cities of the East alongside Jerusalem and Mecca.

The three sites map onto the arc of the Kong family over twenty-five hundred years. The Temple stands where Confucius taught and where, the year after his death in 478 BCE, the Duke of Lu ordered his former residence consecrated as a shrine — the oldest continuously functioning Confucian temple in the world. The Mansion, just east of the Temple, was the seat of his direct descendants, ennobled by every dynasty from the Han onward and grown into China's longest-ruling aristocratic house. The Cemetery, about two kilometers north of the walls, holds Confucius's own modest tomb alongside descendant graves accumulated over more than two millennia.

What makes the property architecturally compelling is its layering. Each dynasty rebuilt, expanded, and endowed the sites, so a walk through them is a compressed tour of imperial Chinese construction — Han foundations beneath Tang and Song additions, topped by the Ming and Qing rebuilds that produced the present scale. The Temple alone grew to nearly 460 halls, pavilions, and gates along a central axis almost a kilometer long, replicating the grammar of an imperial palace to honor a commoner-born teacher.

For foreign independent travelers, the Three Confucian Sites are the most complete introduction to Confucian heritage available anywhere in China. The walking route between them threads Qufu's old lanes, where calligraphers and incense shops still serve pilgrims. Allow the better part of a day, and skim a short life of Confucius beforehand — the experience deepens once the names on the stele begin to mean something.

The "Three Confucian Sites" are Qufu's Temple of Confucius, Kong Family Mansion and Cemetery of Confucius, the heart of China's age-long veneration of Confucius and Confucian culture. The temple, first built in 478 BCE over the Master's old house, ranks with the Forbidden City, the Chengde mountain estate and Tai'an's Dai Temple as one of China's four great ancient building complexes; the mansion is the seat of the Dukes Yansheng, the direct descendants of Confucius, called "the first family under heaven"; the cemetery is the clan burial ground of Confucius and his descendants, kept for over 2,500 years across more than 100,000 graves, the longest-lasting and largest family cemetery in the world. In 1994 the Three Confucian Sites were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Tham quan: Passing through the Wanren Palace Wall of the temple, one goes by the Kuiwen Pavilion and the Thirteen Stele Pavilions to the Dacheng Hall, where the Xingtan apricot platform marks the spot of Confucius' teaching and the carved dragon columns before the hall astound the eye; eastward lies the Kong Family Mansion, hall before and dwellings behind, official office and home in one, carrying the six-century order of the Dukes Yansheng; further north the Cemetery of Confucius opens along the spirit road over the Zhushui Bridge to the Master's own tomb, where ancient cypresses give weight to the sage of all ages. Each year on his birthday the Confucius Memorial Ceremony is held before the Dacheng Hall.
