Giới thiệu về Hẻm núi lớn Hoa Giang
Huajiang Grand Canyon cuts across the western part of Anshun in southwestern Guizhou, stretching roughly 80 kilometers from Maocaoping near Gangwu town in the west to Sanjiangkou near Bangui township in the east. Known for its scale and drama, the canyon is often described locally with four words: majestic, vast, precipitous, and mysterious, and it stands as one of the most complete examples of karst landscape diversity anywhere in the province.
The canyon is a showcase of nearly every karst landform found in Guizhou, including peak forests and peak clusters, stone forests, limestone hills, caves, waterfalls, underground rivers, and sinkholes, earning it a reputation as something like a living museum of subtropical karst scenery. The area is generally divided into several distinct scenic zones, each with its own character, from narrow gorge sections to suspension bridge crossings to zones known for paleontological finds.
Beyond the geology, the canyon region is also home to long-standing local ethnic communities whose customs and rural way of life add a cultural dimension to the dramatic scenery. Traveling through the canyon typically means covering considerable ground, so visitors often focus on one or two of its scenic zones rather than attempting to see the entire 80-kilometer span in a single visit.
For travelers based in Anshun who want to go beyond the more heavily visited Huangguoshu cluster, Huajiang Grand Canyon offers a wilder, more expansive look at the same karst forces that shaped the region's famous waterfalls, and it rewards visitors willing to spend a full day exploring its gorges and viewpoints.
