Hohhot City Winery (Fengzhou)

Hohhot City Winery is a subsidiary of Inner Mongolia Jinyuan Group, marketing baijiu under the "Fengzhou" trademark, and is among the oldest distilleries in the regional capital. The name Fengzhou draws on an ancient place-name for the Hohhot area, carrying deep frontier memory.

On the Ministry of Commerce's second batch of China Time-Honored Brands, Hohhot City Winery of Inner Mongolia Jinyuan Group was listed under the "Fengzhou" mark, a rare baijiu time-honored brand for Hohhot, its liquor holding a place in local dining and hospitality.

Its baijiu is made by traditional solid-state fermentation using local sorghum and other grains, valuing aged fermentation pits and blending skill to yield the mellow, smooth character of frontier-style liquor, representative of Inner Mongolia's distilling craft.

Hohhot City Winery is a second-batch China Time-Honored Brand recognised by the Ministry of Commerce (registered trademark: Fengzhou).
