The Wanfenglin Outdoor Kayak and Stand-Up Paddleboard Club is a small water-sports base inside the Wanfenglin karst basin near Xingyi in southwestern Guizhou, offering equipment rental and introductory paddling on the Na Hui River and the small reservoirs that thread between the karst peaks. It is one of the more recent additions to the Wanfenglin area's outdoor recreation offerings, reflecting a broader trend toward active travel in southwest China's karst regions.

The paddling here is gentle. The Na Hui is a slow, clear stream that winds between rice paddies and Bouyei villages, with the karst cones of the Forest of Ten Thousand Peaks rising on every side. Most trips are short, flat-water excursions aimed at beginners and families rather than serious paddlers — there is no whitewater, and the river depth is modest. Stand-up paddleboards and recreational kayaks are the standard craft, and the operation typically offers guided short tours, half-day rentals, and basic instruction.

The appeal is primarily scenic. Being on the water gives a different perspective on the karst landscape: peaks that look identical from the road reveal subtle variations in shape when viewed from a slow-moving boat, the reflections on the still water double the visual impact of the cones, and bird life along the riverbank is easier to observe. Photographers tend to value the early morning and late afternoon sessions, when the light is low and the water is calm.

Practicalities matter. As a relatively small operator at a relatively new site, the club's hours, equipment quality, and trip options can change from year to year, and independent travelers should confirm locally before committing to a visit. Bring quick-dry clothing, sun protection, water shoes, and a dry bag; life jackets are normally provided. Mandarin is the working language.

For visitors who have already cycled or walked the Wanfenglin valley, an hour or two on the water is a refreshing change of pace, and the combination of easy paddling with world-class karst scenery is genuinely rare. For experienced paddlers the appeal is limited — this is a leisure experience, not an expedition — but as a half-day family activity or a calm-water photography session, the club offers something the headline viewpoints of Wanfenglin cannot match.
