Mingrui
제3차 선정The Mingrui brand dates to 1955, growing out of a silk-embroidery cooperative formed by thirteen workshops, rooted in Chaozhou's deep embroidery tradition. Chaozhou is the home of Chaoxiu embroidery, with embroidery houses everywhere and skills passed down for generations.
While carrying on Chaoxiu technique, Mingrui infused it with modern Western fashion, turning traditional Chaozhou embroidery into a bridal- and evening-gown industry and becoming an integrated trading-and-manufacturing enterprise. It was named a third-batch Chinese Time-Honored Brand in 2024.
Chaoxiu is famous for its raised, padded gold embroidery: cotton and paper are built up beneath the surface, then couched over with gold and silver thread so that dragons, phoenixes and flowers stand out in glittering relief. Mingrui applies this three-dimensional stitching to couture gowns, exemplifying Chaoxiu's move from folk craft to fashion.
It is a third-batch Chinese Time-Honored Brand.
