시쌍반나 야생동물원 소개

The Xishuangbanna Wildlife Zoo is a modest, family-oriented attraction set inside the older Ethnic Customs Park on the southwest edge of Jinghong, beside the Liusha River. It is not a large or modern conservation park on the scale of major Chinese city zoos, and independent adult travelers often find it skippable, but for visitors with small children or for anyone wanting a low-key half-hour stop while exploring the wider park, it offers a quick look at a handful of mostly tropical and Asian species.

The collection is small. Expect to see primates such as macaques and ring-tailed lemurs, a few larger mammals including baboons, zebra, and lions, and a varied selection of birds typical of Xishuangbanna's tropical lowlands, including peacocks, the iconic bird of the prefecture. Enclosures are older in style, and animal-welfare standards are basic by international benchmarks, so visitors with strong feelings on captive-animal exhibits may prefer to give the site a miss. The zoo has added and rotated animals over the years, but the overall scale has stayed compact.

The wider Ethnic Customs Park around the zoo is the more rewarding draw. It is laid out among mature tropical trees and ornamental lakes, with pavilions presenting the cultures of the six main ethnic groups of Xishuangbanna, and it functions more as a relaxed public garden than as a structured museum. Walking the grounds, with their banyans, palms, and lotus ponds, is a pleasant way to spend an unhurried hour or two away from Jinghong's busier tourist zones.

For families traveling with children in Xishuangbanna, the wildlife zoo makes a reasonable stop combined with the surrounding Ethnic Customs Park, but most adult visitors will get more from Manting Park, the botanical garden, or the rainforest areas outside the city.
