Cuihua Goldsmith

Fondation
In 1895 Guan Xiling, a Sibe of the Gūwalgiya clan, opened a goldsmith on Siping Street (today's Zhongjie) in old Shenyang, naming it Cuihua, dealing chiefly in jewelry alongside gold and silver ingots and gemstones.
Ce qui a fait sa renommée
Sited on Zhongjie beside the Shenyang Imperial Palace, Cuihua is among the oldest jewelry houses beyond the Great Wall. In 2006 the Ministry of Commerce named it a first-batch China Time-Honored Brand, the only jewelry firm north of the Yangtze so honored.
Savoir-faire emblématique
Cuihua carries on traditional filigree-and-inlay goldwork, prizing hand-chasing and stone setting; its pieces blend Manchu and Han court aesthetics, continuing the gold-and-silver craft of old Shengjing.
