Tong Hanchun Tang

Tong Hanchun Tang grew from a shop-front-and-workshop pharmacy opened in 1783 in the old walled-city quarter, making it one of Shanghai's oldest local medicine houses.

Long renowned around the old city and the Yu Garden area, Tong Hanchun Tang is known for authentic medicinal materials and traditional processing, holding both national and municipal time-honoured-brand status.

The house carries on the shop-front-and-workshop tradition, making its own pills, powders, pastes and remedies with authentic materials and time-tested processing, preserving the character of an old Shanghai apothecary.
