Lao Fengxiang traces back to the Fengxiang Silver Building, opened in Shanghai in 1848 during the late Qing. It was among the city's earliest gold-and-silver jewellery houses and, by the Republican era, a leading name in Shanghai's silverwork trade.

Ce qui a fait sa renommée

Over more than a century it became the flagship time-honoured brand of China's gold and jewellery trade. Its ornaments and crafted pieces have appeared as state gifts and exhibition works, embodying the polish of the Shanghai craft tradition.

Savoir-faire emblématique

The house carries on traditional goldsmithing—filigree, setting and chasing done by hand—and blends in the inlay techniques of Shanghai-style jade carving to produce work that is ornate yet restrained and elegant.
