Daoxiangju traces its origins to 1882, in the late Qing, beginning with pan-fried guotie dumplings and wontons alongside simple drinking snacks; after several closures and revivals it is now found along the Song Imperial Street area in Longting District.

Ce qui a fait sa renommée

Its guotie are among Kaifeng's signature traditional snacks, long listed as a local 'famous flavor snack' and honored in 1997 by the China Cuisine Association as a 'Famous Chinese Snack.'

Savoir-faire emblématique

Thin wrappers enclose a juicy pork filling, then pan-fried with a splash of water so the base turns golden and crisp while the top stays soft, each bite crackling outside and tender and brothy within.

Statut culturel

It remains a well-known Kaifeng flavor house, its reputation resting mainly on local renown and industry awards.
