Route frontalière

The Border Defense Road is the scenic route that follows the line of the China-Russia frontier out of Manzhouli and across the open grasslands of the northern frontier, and for many travelers it is the single most beautiful drive in the region. The road runs through a landscape that combines the broad elements of the steppe, blue sky, rolling grass, scattered rivers, and seasonal wildflowers, into a sequence of long views that capture the essence of the Mongolian plateau.
