The Lujiang Night Cruise is one of Xiamen's most popular evening experiences, a boat cruise along the short stretch of sea known as Lujiang that separates the city from Gulangyu Island. As the lights come on across the harbor, the cruise offers a sweeping view of Xiamen's illuminated skyline reflected in the water, with the heritage island and the modern city facing each other across a narrow channel. For many visitors, it is the single most atmospheric way to see Xiamen after dark.

The Lujiang Night Cruise departs from the central harbor area, within easy reach of Zhongshan Road and the downtown waterfront, so it pairs naturally with dinner or a walk along the seafront promenade.
