Shanghai Happy Valley is a large theme park in the city's southwestern Songjiang district, part of the wider Happy Valley chain of parks found in several major Chinese cities, and rated as a national 4A tourist attraction. It's one of Shanghai's go-to destinations for thrill-ride enthusiasts, built around a lineup of roller coasters and other high-intensity attractions alongside gentler rides and shows aimed at visitors of all ages.

The park is organized into a series of themed zones, each with its own architectural style and cluster of attractions, ranging from towering steel roller coasters and drop towers to water-based rides that offer a welcome way to cool off during Shanghai's hot, humid summers. Beyond the rides, the park typically features live shows, parades, and seasonal decorations throughout the year, with special event programming during major holidays that can include extended hours, themed decor, and evening entertainment, giving repeat visitors a reason to come back outside the standard park experience.
