The Tsingtao Beer Museum stands on the original 1903 brewery site at 56 Dengzhou Road, making it one of the few beer museums worldwide built where the beer is actually brewed. Opened in 2003 to mark the centennial of the Tsingtao Brewery, it traces how a German-British joint venture grew into China's most internationally recognized beer brand, with exhibits spread across more than 6,000 square meters of gallery space inside the surviving early factory buildings.

The museum is organized into three thematic sections that flow chronologically and thematically. The first covers a century of brand history through archival photographs, holographic displays, old export certificates, and milestone trophies. The second walks visitors through the brewing process, pairing vintage brewing equipment, copper fermentation tanks, and a recreated early laboratory with the modern high-speed bottling and packaging lines running elsewhere in the active factory. Costumed characters and recreated worker scenes help bridge the technical material for non-specialists. The third section is the hands-on experience zone, with immersive projection mapping, an AR station, a "drunk hut" optical illusion, and tasting counters where the freshly drawn unpasteurized draft, only available here, is the highlight.

Most international visitors spend roughly an hour inside, and the museum has invested heavily in foreign-language service, with docents guiding in English, Russian, French, Japanese, and Korean. Free tastings of fresh Tsingtao Original Draft and Tsingtao Pure Draft are included with admission, while the IPA, schwarzbier, pilsner, and wheat beer line are poured at the encounter bar for those wanting a broader flight. The ground-floor music restaurant and the on-site 1903 Bakery, which uses the brewery's signature yeast in its bread, let visitors extend the experience beyond the exhibits.

The museum anchors the Dengzhou Road Beer Street corridor in central Qingdao, an easy combination with the surrounding craft-beer bars, the historic Badaguan villa quarter to the southeast, and the larger seafront of this Yellow Sea port city.
