Jardín de los cerezos de Guian

Guian Cherry Blossom Garden lies in the Guian New Area, north of Gaofeng town and upstream along Hongfeng Lake, roughly midway between the cities of Guiyang and Anshun. Conceived as one of Guizhou province's flower and nursery cultivation bases, the garden has grown into a large-scale ornamental planting ground that draws visitors specifically for its cherry blossoms, one of the more distinctive seasonal sights in this part of Guizhou.

The garden is organized into a few core viewing areas, including an open plaza used for blossom-season gatherings and dedicated walking sections planted densely with flowering cherry trees. Hundreds of thousands of trees, spanning numerous cultivated varieties, have been planted across the grounds over the years, and the garden is often described locally as one of the larger and more varied cherry blossom plantings in China given its elevation and scale.

Because Guian Cherry Blossom Garden is fundamentally a seasonal attraction, the experience varies considerably depending on when a traveler visits; the blossoming period in spring is when the garden draws the largest crowds and offers the most dramatic scenery, while the rest of the year the grounds function more as a quieter botanical and nursery landscape. Paths wind between planting blocks, making it an easy, unhurried walk for visitors of most fitness levels.

Sitting between Guiyang and Anshun near the Guian Expressway corridor, the garden is a natural half-day or full-day add-on for travelers routing between the two cities, particularly those visiting Anshun in spring who want a change of pace from the region's karst caves and waterfalls. It is best treated as a seasonal highlight rather than a year-round must-see, and travelers planning a spring trip to Anshun should check bloom timing before building it into a tight schedule.
