Qingren Road — "Lover's Road" — is the long waterfront promenade that has become the closest thing Zhuhai has to a signature public space, a coastal walkway stretching for roughly twenty-eight kilometers along the city's southern shoreline and binding together the parks, bays, and landmarks that define the city's relationship with the sea. The road is less a single attraction than an organizing spine for the whole central waterfront, and for many visitors it is the feature that most clearly distinguishes Zhuhai from the denser, more commerce-driven cities of the Pearl River Delta.

The most famous section of the promenade runs past the statue of the Zhuhai Fishing Girl, the seaside sculpture that serves as the city's emblem and stands in the shallows of Xianglu Bay. This central stretch is where the promenade is at its most photographed, with couples, families, and wedding parties drawn to the seaside setting, and where the paved walkway is at its widest and most animated. From there, the road continues past garden hotels, marinas, swimming beaches, and the broad curve of Xianglu Bay, connecting a series of points that together form a natural walking or cycling tour of the city's coast. Tandem and multi-seat bicycle rentals are available near the Gongbei and Yeli Island (Wild Deer Island) sections for visitors who want to cover more of the length.

For foreign visitors, Lover's Road is best understood as the principal framework around which a stay in central Zhuhai is organized, rather than as a single stop on an itinerary. A morning or evening walk along the central Fishing Girl section gives the most rewarding return for a short visit, while cyclists and runners can string together a much longer stretch along the coast. The road is particularly pleasant at dusk, when the subtropical heat eases and the lights of the city and Macau begin to appear across the water. The promenade also links naturally to the adjacent Jingshan Park and the wider downtown core, making it easy to fold into any day in the city.
