15. Internationale Luft- und Raumfahrt-Ausstellung Chinas (Zhuhai Airshow)

The China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, known informally as the Zhuhai Airshow, is a biennial trade fair and public air show held at the Zhuhai International Air Show Center and widely regarded as the largest aerospace exhibition in China. First held in the late 1990s and staged every two years since, the air show has grown into one of the country's principal showcases for civil and military aviation, aerospace technology, and defense equipment, and each edition draws exhibitors, industry delegations, and large crowds of general visitors to Zhuhai for the duration of the event.

During the public days of the show, the centerpiece of the visit is the flying display, in which military aircraft, aerobatic teams, and civil transports perform over the airfield in front of the grandstands. The static display park, spread across the apron, allows visitors to walk among rows of military fighters, transport aircraft, helicopters, drones, and civil airliners from both Chinese and international manufacturers, many of them open for walkthrough viewing. Inside the vast exhibition halls, scale models of launch vehicles, satellites, and missile systems extend the show's reach beyond aviation into the broader aerospace sector, and the combination of flying display, static park, and indoor exhibition gives visitors a comprehensive view of the industry as it stands in China and among its international partners.

For foreign visitors, the air show is one of the most distinctive events in the greater Bay Area calendar and an unusual opportunity to see contemporary aerospace hardware up close, particularly the Chinese military aircraft that do not appear at most Western air shows. Because the show is biennial, its availability depends entirely on timing, and travelers planning a visit during a show year should book accommodation in Zhuhai well in advance, since hotels across the city fill quickly during the public days. The event is weather-dependent for the flying display, the crowds are very large, and a full visit fills an entire day with a great deal of walking across the airfield and halls.
